HarbourGen is the Augmented Reality (AR) APP created for the exhibit Harbourfront Genotype (Re) Coding designed by Dr Joseph F Wong and Mr Atul Kansara for the 2013 Hong Kong and Shenzhen Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism/Architecture. HarbourGen reveals key information and analysis of vital harbourfronts visited in major cities such as Hong Kong, Tokyo, Osaka, Kobe, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The AR scan function of the APP is used to trigger images bringing to life graphically presented data and the genetic coding of the programmatic sequencing moving from the water s edge further inland for each of the studied harbourfronts.
